.Happy (belated) 18th Birthday Leanne!

a big bunch of us gave leanne a surprise for her birthday yesterday. we planned a mini amazing race for her. it's quite a long story if i were to explain every single thing we did, but try reading the clues in the first picture. you should understand quite a bit from the clues.

these are few of the clues given to leanne. nikki was the robot mentioned in the clues. and some of the clues were shown to her to lead her to the stations. the location of the 5 stations are - the first block after the guard house, bbq pit area, swimming pool, leanne's block and the opposite end of the same block!

we seperated some parts of the cake (the sponge cake part) to feed her before feeding her face with the cream! :D

we did a brilliant job to make-up for her! her face was so so so CLEAN! hahaha and we blindfolded her before bringing her to the last station.

timothy(i think) told her to blow all the candles at once! but she failed painfully by being able to blow just one candle at the first attempt.

the same bunch of us went to pyramid to celebrate with leanne today! leanne fetched sonya, andy and i there. then we gathered with some of them and headed to redbox.

anywayyy, it's my...13th year knowing leanne! and i think i did wish her every single year for her bday (or at least most of the years) although i didnt celebrate with her every year. but it's really great to know a person for so so long and still being close to that person. she's the only one who went through the most stages of education with me. i knew her since kindergarten and we've been studying in the same class since then until we graduate from secondary school! isn't that so awesome? :D

.new layout!

yes, i finally changed my blog layout! so long after i first mentioned my intention of changing it. this layout isn't the one i've edited previously. i just happen to find this layout today morning and i thought it's quite nice. but i did edit some parts of this layout though.

and just to let you guys know, if you view my blog with IE, you will not be able to view the background of the sidebar's titles. but you can view it using Firefox. i've no idea why is this so, but it's just like that. i'd changed the colour of the sidebar's titles so that it looks alright whether it's seen with or without the background.

anyway, i'm still in the midst of editing the layout. you'll see the changes soon! :)

haha this was funny! i remember telling nikki that we should take a picture without opening our eyes because our eyes are naturally small and would look even smaller if we take pictures with flash. so we end up taking this picture and it turned out to be quite nice in my opinion! :D

their dances were hilarious! that explains why were some parts of the videos shaky. i couldnt help but to laugh, especially in the first video when the 2 guys danced like..crap. but it was entertaining. hahaha just if some of you dont know, all of them could dance well. just that..their skills weren't really needed for the sketch's 'competition' so yeah. enjoy watching their not-so-skillful dances! LOL

ANDDD, i wanna declare my love for carrot cakes! hahaha my sis baked carrot cupcakes yesterday and i'm currently addicted to it. not that the ones she baked were extraordinarily nice, but it's just that i've always loved it but seldom buy it from bakeries. so i tend to eat a lot when my sis bakes. i love the cream cheese! :D :D

Leo Club of SMK USJ 8 had their Leo International Relationship day today! quite a number of the ex-directors turned up, including myself. cynthia fetched nikki and i there and we went for lunch together with a few others too!

oh and before that, nikki and i went up to the auditorium to get our tickets first, and then we met up with the rest at old town. 2-3 of the escalators weren't working when we went up. plus, the auditorium was at the highest floor so we climbed up the escalator for a couple of floors with our high heels and that doesnt feel good. oh anyway, let's move on to the pictures.

we only went up to the auditorium at around 2 i think? it was supposed to start at 1.30 but it was delayed as expected. it happened to us before too when we were the organising committee.

let's move on to the opening performance by the committees. it was a..sketch. it was about a dance competition titled "So You Think Malaysians Can Dance ah ah ah ah?". not too sure about the title but i think that's the one. do correct me if it's wrong.

there're were 2 groups 'competing' and this was one of the groups.

a closer view of them. i dont have the picture for another group coz i recorded video instead. will upload the videos tomorrow or something. the performance was quite interesting to me. it actually reminded me of one of our sketches during prefects annual dinner last..3 years i think. the one that leanne took up the role as a janitor and needed to do some silly things with the broom. that was super funny! hahaha

and the next one was a duet by elaine and christina. then each of them sang solo too. a song each. the one in the picture is elaine and i didnt manage to take a nice picture of christina.

mun ying played the chinese piano (gu zheng) as well. she's good at it :D. oh and later on she told us that her fingernail broke off after that. pity her..

and then there's this dance by these 2 guys. i dont quite remember their group's name. haha.

they changed from the quite manly moves to the feminine ones. haha.

refreshment was right after that. the few of us who took our lunch together didnt eat coz we were still very full hahaa. so we went around taking pictures instead.

the refreshment lasted for about half an hour i think and then we returned to the auditorium and get seated and ready to watch the following performances. this is a band from another school and i dont remember their band's name. hahaa

and Synclonize was after that! haha i guess this is the only group that i can remember the name. great performance by timothy, joshua, jovi, shaun and jezri! always so entertaining. i think leanne recorded the video of this performance. will post the link up here if she uploads it on youtube! :D

the game was after this i think? and i went through the most embarrassing moment in my life today. all thanks to wilson thong tien wei. i'll remember u for that! u better watch out okay. not gonna elaborate about the game coz it's too embarrassing to me.

there was a fashion catwalk show towards the end of the event. it was done to select the best dressers of the day. man-yi and kok leong won for the best dressed female and male respectively.

the event ended with a speech by pn vasantha. overall, the event was okay. i guess the committees have done their best and we should appreciate the efforts they put in to organise the event. it isn't that easy to organise such an event coz we went through it last year too. there bound to be hiccups coming along the way while organising leo i.r. it happens every year i guess. i still remember the problems we faced last year and how difficult was it for us to deal with them. but, we made it through afterall. i'm proud of the fellow leos :)

by the way, my camera battery died half way through the event. i think leanne took more pictures hahaa. will steal pictures from her web album and post them up here :D

.updates

just a short update. i went to KL for shopping with sis yesterday but there wasn't anything much to buy so we end up leaving KL quite early. oh and it rained when we almost reached home. so in other words, we walked under the rain for a short distance coz we alighted in front of the guard house. other than that, nothing much happened.

my sis is having a week of holidays this week so she's at home with me whenever she's not out. and she makes me feel really guilty when she's at home! haha coz i'll somehow see her exercising whenever i'm eating snacks or something. so in a way, i'll feel guilty for eating. i never really had the determination to do routine exercises for a long term except sit-ups that i used to do sometime ago. i need motivation and determination! HAHA. but i've really no idea how am i gonna get those 2 things.
