Yet another hiatus | The end of 2011

Happy 2012!

Haha such a cliche way to start my post, but that was what I really had in mind :)

It's been so long since my last update that I didn't even know Blogger's interface changed. It looks a little too simple and empty to me right now, probably just because i'm not used to it yet.

It's finally 2012 now, the most-anticipated year for those who are eager to find out if the world's really going to end this year. Whether or not I believe in the 2012 thing, I'd have to say that i'm one of those people who are curious about it. I don't believe it, but i'm not against the saying of it. It's not like any of us can really predict the future accurately anyway.

Putting that aside, 2011 has been a great great year, from the beginning till the end. No doubt there were unhappy things that took place, but those definitely don't matter as much as all the other significant things that happened last year. 2011 was a year filled with stress (yes, that just had to come first), happiness, gratefulness, a tinge of sadness here and there, and a whole lot of experience (that doesn't only include experience in trying new things, but also experiencing how differently can people treat you at 2 different times in life - when they need you, and when they don't need you).

Spent New Year's eve and the day before New Year's eve with people very dear to me and that's just a very good way to end the year :) I remember being asked about what my New Year resolutions are.. Honestly, I don't have any (yet). Right now, I feel extremely contented with all I have and I haven't actually thought of what I want to urge myself to do/get this year. Or probably just the usual hopes to 'get good grades for exams', 'have a happy and great year ahead', etc. Those are like the very common things nobody at this age wouldn't hope for anyway.

For now, let's just travel back in time for a little while..Here's a very brief recap on the past few months when there were no updates at all :)

Firstly my birthday celebrations with the loved ones!

The final A-level exam (A2) came very very soon after that, about a month right after my birthday. And all we had during the whole month of exam were pure stress and a bit of fun from time to time in the midst of revising. It wasn't easy at all having to sit for exams for one whole month again after the previous one 4 months before that, and even worse when we have a very unfavourable exam timetable.

This was my extremely beautiful timetable. I remember how proud and happy I felt after surviving the 6 days I circled on the timetable. It felt like a mini accomplishment because it looked so impossible to me before those 6 particular days began.

The stacks of books cleared away after exam ended. I wanted to give it out to the students from the new intakes but I realized how lazy I was to meet up with them to pass them the heavy books. So I gave up on that idea and end up asking my parents to bring them to the recycling centre instead. And yes, each stack was approximately 50cm tall.

Attended INTI's Pre-U Prom Night a few days after exam ended. While it wasn't like how I expected it to be, the organizing committees' effort was definitely commendable.

Nothing much happened after prom up till now... I've been doing almost the same thing every single day. Averagely, I spend about one-third of my time everyday to sleep, and the rest of the time doing everything else I feel like doing. It feels a bit like the holiday I had after SPM ended, and the more significant differences are probably the duration of the holiday and the people I'm spending it with.

Spent a lot of time with my sisters! :D

And also a bunch of lovelies who are very dear to me :)

That's practically almost everything that happened in the last few months of 2011. I'm definitely looking forward to a better year, and hopefully everyone will have a great year ahead! :D

Hello :)

Didn't realize that I haven't been blogging for so long until I suddenly visited my blog again out of boredom. I seem to have lost my touch with blogging, but my blog will still be here and i'll still be updating from time to time :)

Here's a really brief update on what have been going on during the 2-month hiatus..

Went for manicure for the first time with Nikki on one of the random days :D

Have been pretty busy before August, went out quite often to buy things for the new house before shifting in. Shifted to my new house on the...29th of July if i'm not mistaken, and I had a very good helper on that day!

These make up a small part of the things shifted there and 90% of what you could see in this photo belongs to my dad. And they're all his BOOKS. He has much more books than me!

It took us about a week to really settle down at the new house and getting used to this area since I've been living at another area for like..the past 15 years of my life and I had no idea how does it feel like to live in another area.

Went out shopping on one of the days againn :)

Almost everything after that was all about books and exams.. A2 trials started on the 9th this month and ended three days back. I had never sat for an exam in such an unprepared state. I just didn't have the motivation to do it, and I really have no idea why was that so. I'm just very glad that it's finally over now but i'm bracing myself for the worst.

Exams aside, we had another housewarming party last night for the relatives and my mom's friends :) Had it at the bistro downstairs this time round.

It's been a while, again, since my last update. I've been pretty busy for the past one month, went in and out, and did whatever I felt like doing :D

I think I did mention previously that I had a two-week long semester break which commenced a week after my exam ended. Here's a short recap of what I'd done during those 2 weeks when I literally treated the break as a holiday :D

limeeleen came back during her semester break (which happens to be in the same period of time as most of ours' ) and a whole bunch of us met up with her the day after she landed :D

Went to Genting with a few classmates during the first weekend of my sem break. A short trip, but it was fun to just be with them :)

The second week of semester break was pretty disastrous. Fell sick on the night we returned home from Genting and I was bed-ridden for the 4 days thereafter. It was so depressing to spend so many days at home and on the bed all the time, knowing that I only have a very very short break but yet I couldn't do anything other than sleeping to recuperate.

Felt a lot better on Friday and I finally get to step out of home. Went to KL for the long-awaited shopping session with Nikki and sis :D

We took the ktm there and I realised that I hadn't taken the ktm for quite a few years already.

At Fahrenheit 88's Sushi Zanmai. We totally loved the place we sat at :) I was actually expecting it to be quite warm and sunny there because we were seated at the corner of the restaurant, with just a transparent glass as the barrier from outdoor. Instead, not only it wasn't warm there, but the lighting was also good!

Oh and another thing was the mirror right in front of our table! There was a full-length huge mirror in front of us and we liked it quite a lot because it was easy to fit all three of us in photos that way :D

There were a few badminton sessions with the bunch of them too but I actually missed ALL of it, all thanks to the sickness throughout the week. But I went to watch them play on last Sunday though :)

Okay those were more or less what I'd done during the holidays. Now that the break had ended, classes have begun too. Lessons started on Monday itself, even before we enrolled ourselves for the new semester. Yes, our lecturers are that enthusiastic in delivering their knowledge to us, but it would've been so much better if we're just as enthusiastic to absorb what they teach.

I think most, if not all of us still haven't had enough of the extremely short break and to make things worse, we're getting constant reminders from our dear lecturers that our trial is coming in 9 weeks' time, and the real A2 in about 14 weeks' time. No, I didn't bother counting the number of weeks, but i'm just typing out the exact thing my Econs lecturer told us today. That's an ugly truth that we don't have a choice but to believe and realise.

Okay putting everything else aside, I actually chanced upon a blog more than a week ago but I didn't have the time to link it here back then. It's a blog owned by an 18-year-old girl who's now fighting with lymphoma cancer. Those of you who have facebook and/or twitter might have seen this link by now..Despite all she's going through now, she puts on a brave front and is pretty optimistic to lessen the pain in her family and friends. She's now in need of financial assistance for her upcoming treatment which would cost a bomb. Try to spend a while reading her previous blog posts and you'll be able to understand her condition better. Even if you're not able to assist her financially, just help to spread the word around about her condition and her need for financial assistance. It'll be of great help if you could do that :)

Decided to update a little while trying really hard to think of what to do right now since i'm really bored and i've another 3 hours to rot in the library before class begins.

I've got quite a bit to type, but I don't know how to piece them up together. It's like, a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but those things are somewhat related. Have you ever felt like at one moment you actually hope for something to happen, but at that very moment too, you think of the negative externalities when that something happens? It's pretty strange and annoying how our mind actually works that way. I believe it's not something totally beyond our control, but rather, it's something we might not know how to or might not wish to control, and so we don't try controlling. While you have a little bit of hope, you tend to try thinking of things at the opposite end just to lower your hopes.

And regardless how much hopes you have for something, there might be one point where you'll end up telling yourself "it's not going to happen". That moment is likely to come when your confidence fades and when doubts start rolling in. It happens probably because you're afraid of not knowing how to react, not knowing what's going to happen next, and not knowing if it's the right thing that should happen.

Expectation kills. Just go with the flow, and we might be surprised when something better comes along in an unexpected way. People often say that time will tell. I believe it happens that way too, and we shall see what will happen as time passes by.

I still have things to write, but i'll keep it for the next time when I feel like sharing again :)

Hello everyone! I'm back (alive!) after an intense war with papers and words :D AS exam just ended two days back and i'm currently enjoying the temporary freedom after exam. Why temporary? Coz classes will still be going on next week, which means our two-week break officially begins only the week after.

Exams kept me occupied for more than a month, and that pretty much explains the condition of my almost-dead blog! In fact there were quite a few other things that kept me occupied during the exam period itself - sis' 21st birthday, eric's birthday, our usual monopoly deal and cluedo sessions at Old Town Signature, grandma's 81st birthday etc. Okay I actually had the time to blog, but just didn't feel like blogging. I was quite active on twitter and facebook though. So those who followed me on twitter wouldn't have felt my absence I suppose :)

That celebration was held last weekend. Oh and that was a lunch by the way. Apparently they wanted to book the restaurant for dinner but only the higher floors were available. They opted for a lunch celebration in the end because my grandma couldn't walk much. And that's about it. More photos here :)

And thennnn, AS ended! Exams did not pass by really quickly, but not that slowly either. While it was good that all my 10 papers were spread over 5 weeks coz that simply means I had more time to revise for each paper, it definitely wasn't easy to endure the amount of stress that piled up as time passed by.

Overall, the papers were fine, since I said i'm back alive. Of course there were some that were beyond our expectations - in both good and bad ways. But whatever it is, i'm glad that it's finally over and the results shall determine everything else :)

Went out with the bunch of lovelies for a movie and dinner after the last paper ended. Nikki bought the movie tickets two days before so that we didn't need to line up to buy tickets on that day itself :D

Since eric was the only guy there, we gave him 2 options. One is to be our bodyguard, and the other is to join our girls gang! hahaha

Pei Wen, Cynthia and Kar Chun joined us later on for dinner too :) oh but karchun and eric left before we took the picture so they weren't in =p

I went home in delight and finally crossed the last box of this self-made calendar which I've been facing for the past month! Quite a pretty and colourful calendar, isn't it? :D

Continued my temporary freedom with a mini BBQ party with my dear classmates at Subang Avenue last night :D A big thank you to Nurul, Jonah, Avinash, Eddy, Divyan and the rest for getting everything ready :)

Finally updating my blog again after 2 long weeks! I've been going out, sleeping, eating and having fun doing everything possible but just not studying (yet) . oh wait I did study, for one of the stupidest subject i'd ever taken in my life - Moral Studies. It makes me feel stupid studying that subject for the sake of passing the final exam. Finally sat for the exam yesterday and i'm so thankful that it's finally over! :)

The Pre-U students of Inti International College Subang finally made it to the Malaysia Book of Records for creating the largest painted logo on cloth! After so much of hard work, sweat and tears (shed by the committee), we finally made it! Thumbs up for the committee and Mr Subash for their unwavering determination to make it happen :)

So many things happened from the moment the idea of this project came up, to the planning, to the time where the real work started, till the very last moment when the recognition was finally granted. I wasn't a part of the committee but few of my close classmates were. I saw them working so hard for this project against all odds and there were times I saw them so caught up with this project but at the same time, there were so much of pressure on them from our tests and exams too. Nothing was easy on them.

As for the real work, it was divided into 3 parts - drawing the gridlines, painting the white, and painting the red part of the cloth. I only managed to join them to paint the white part of the cloth but I think among all, the drawing of the gridlines was the most difficult task because they needed to draw a scaled exact Inti logo and I think they hired people to come over to guide the students on how to sketch the lines accordingly. I heard that it took them more than 10 hours under the scorching hot sun to get the whole thing done. Good job people! :D

The launch of this project was held at college yesterday. It was a really long day. So much of things to be done and so many problems to overcome. Oh and we had a presentation for Moral Studies yesterday too. That kept us away from the preparation for a while..

It's not even easy to lay it out or to keep it back because the cloth is SO huge! thankfully the rain stopped about an hour after that and the students had to try their best to dry the place all over again...

and finally they could lay it out again :)

there was a colour dress code for the day - RED. practically everyone was in red and it was not easy to look for people that way! hahaha but i think we look awesome as a bunch of red people :D

Was out with Nikki for a day yesterday to sort of celebrate with her for doing so well for her SPM :) but I think it was more like our normal outing day because we did whatever we usually do! :D

One difference between yesterday's outing with our usual ones is that we went for a movie! Usually whenever we intend to watch a movie, we'll end up shopping because the queue at the cinema is always soooo long! But it wasn't the same yesterday and we finally watched a movie together after such a long time! We watched a cantonese movie titled Men Suddenly In Love. Nothing much about the movie, because the story just revolves around 5 guys who're each in love with another women besides their wives.

Oh and as you can see in the picture above, the cinema was literally empty! okay no i was just joking hahhaha. There were people sitting behind us and about 2 rows below were filled up after the photo was taken =p

We 'smuggled' milk tea into the cinema! :D

Hello people! I haven't been very busy nor very free, and I know that doesn't explain the lack of updates on my blog! I probably just lost touch in blogging...yeah, just probably :)

Anyway, we celebrated Cynthia and Kar Chun's birthday together last weekend, and it was pretty fun! Let me start it off with the preparations done before the celebration..

We met up at one of our usual places - Starbucks at Taipan, to do 2 different (and very special) cards for those 2 very dear friends of ours :)

At Old Town Signature for the mini surprise for Cynthia and KC! KC was gonna be late so we surprised Cyn first :)

I told her that the rest weren't there yet, and that I was alone, so I waited for her outside (while the rest of them were actually preparing upstairs) =p And once she reached, they called her name and started singing! And and and, Cynthia actually thought I wasn't aware that they were upstairs and later, she went on telling me that she wanted to ask "eh Kar Yan you blind already is it? all of them are upstairs la!" LOL.

thenn I walked up with her and we sang for her again! That was the official one :D

And then there was a mini surprise for KC too! He came late so we surprised him late, but all thanks to him, the mini surprise wasn't very successful because he went to the washroom when we were ready to surprise him! But it's okay, he's the birthday boy and we shan't blame him for anything :D

there were 1 big and 8 small candles and that's the way we arranged them. It was Sonya's brilliant idea! so cute right? :D

The birthday boy took too long in the washroom and the candles burnt the sides of the cake by the time we finish singing! hahaha

Nikki's birthday celebration :)

Just realised that it has been quite a while since my last update so i'm here to update about dearest Nikki's birthday celebration! :)

A few of us in the gang met up one of those days to make an N-shaped birthday card for Nikki. It took us quite a while and quite a lot of effort to think of how to make the card solid! hahaha that part was hilarious. Eric was just so damn good at demonstrating that funny part LOL.

Anywayyyy, after all the hard work, here's the outcome ! :DD

Went out with Nikki in the morning last 2 weeks before we celebrated her birthday with her in the evening. Went for shopping again and we laughed so hard that day as if there's nothing else to be done except laughing. Everything turned extremely funny after we got our bubble tea.

Everything went wrong (in a funny way) and we heard and said everything wrongly. It was so funny that we laughed all the way from the stall where we bought our cups of bubble tea at the lowest floor, up till the basement parking 5 levels above the highest level of the mall, when we got into the car, until we left the basement in the car. And I don't think we stopped laughing for more than 5 minutes during that period of time HAHAHA. It was just THAT funny x)

we bought a pair of this charm bracelet thingy which was sold for charity :)

Thennn, we left to Taipan. Found a parking, and we continued walking into the boutique shops at taipan as well, while waiting for time to past. Went to Station One soon after that and met up with the rest.

We actually planned a mini surprise for Nikki but I think we somehow didn't manage to really surprise her at the end due to some technical error. hahaha =p

chinese new year.

While Chinese New Year is usually one of the most happening festivals for the Chinese, it's not the same for me. There're a few reasons for that.

a) I go back to my hometown every weekend so it doesn't make a difference whether it's cny or not.

b) I meet the same people every single week when I go there so there's nothing extraordinary to be done with them during cny as well.

c) We don't visit many places because my uncles and aunts stay in the same house, and the others are just staying nearby and we meet each other every other weekend too.

So to us, Chinese New Year is practically another ordinary day, but of course, with the exception of extra food and money ;)

Day 1, at my eldest aunt's house. That was the only place we visited lol.

Day 2 at Sunway Pyramid coz my aunt wanted to do some shopping over there.

Had western food at Tony Roma's on the second day of cny. haha i remember we had japanese food during cny on 2 consecutive years previously. We wanted to have Japanese food that day too but the restaurant we wanted to dine in was not open for business :(

We came home on the 3rd day of CNY coz my sis had to sit for an exam on the following Monday so she wanted to come back earlier to study. I went for CNY visiting with my dear friends on the following day :D

Other than eating, shopping, sleeping and visiting, I spent my CNY watching a Taiwan drama titled Autumn's Concerto. It's a really really really nice drama! It was so addictive that I spent only 3 days to finish watching all the 21 episodes of the drama. 9 episodes on the first day, 7 on the second day, and the last 5 episodes on the third day.

Do watch it if time permits! Oh and do prepare tissue papers beforehand because this drama is such a tearjerker that I couldn't stop crying while watching the first few episodes. It was really touching, at least to me. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this drama and i'm still experiencing the withdrawal symptom now even after I finished watching a couple of days ago.

The day came after a long long time. After a long time preparing and rehearsing. We had a small-scaled surprise farewell for Ee Leen last Sunday before she leaves to Australia after this coming CNY. I think the thing we worked on the most was the card we made for her! hahah we started doing that really long ago. So long that I couldn't remember the exact period of time the card has existed until now.

I don't remember if we actually planned to do something so complicated, but it just turned out to be pretty complicated. You really got to have had the card in your hands before in order to understand what am I saying. hahaha

A picture taken last saturday at Pyramid's Fong Lye :) The food there is good! Give it a try if you don't mind paying slightly more just for simple delicacies. The dishes there are really simple but they're delicious! :D

Back to my blog title..hmmm recently, I just realised that i'll be experiencing a few first times in 2011. One of it is the first time taking 2 external (major) exams in a year. I've never sat for more than one public exam in a year because it's not implemented in the Malaysia Education System that way. So yes, about the Cambridge AS and A2 Level this year. AS is coming soon, very very soon and i'm no where near half prepared for it. I'll start getting myself prepared SOON. As soon as i'm done with things i've been busy doing.

It will also be my first time taking Economics papers for major exams, since it's my first time taking up the subject anyway. The other first time is to sit for a public exam not set by the Malaysian government (or rather, Malaysians) . After so many years of studying, that's really the first time. Can you imagine how impactful is college to my life right now? Practically my firsts in 2011 are all exam/education-related and obviously they have something got to do with college as well.

I think I sounded quite stressed up? Not very, but I would say i'm starting to worry quite a bit. People always come up to me and ask me "why you don't look stressed?". And i'll start thinking.."why will I want/need to look stressed up?"..

Semester 2 started last Monday and i've been having classes every single weekday since then. Still trying to get used to the long hours of classes again after a month of break. The break was good, but just too brief. Sem 2 hasn't been very good to us up till now. 2 tests coming up just on the second week of classes. How cool is that?

Anyway, Dee left to London last Monday, after coming back here for a couple of months. I went out with her on the Saturday before she left and I think the next time i'll be meeting her again will be about..2 years from now :(

2010

Last year had overall been a great year. It's a year filled with ups and downs in my life. It was the year I was exposed to many different things in life and I learned how to handle certain things better.

I'll not be listing down every single thing that happened last year, but rather, the more memorable events which took place throughout the year :)

[ note : a long post ahead :) ]

The picture above is mini collection of pictures taken from different birthday celebrations i've attended last year (edit : sorry i think i missed out karchun's! ) . haha the term 'attended' sounds so formal but I couldn't figure out other words to replace it. I was only able to make it to nikki's, cynthia's, leanne's, eeleen's, karchun's, andrew's sonya's and vicky's birthday celebrations, and the making of eric's birthday card. Oh and not forgetting, my birthday celebration. All of us are fortunate to have each other as friends, to be able to spend time with each other doing things that could keep us bonded (as friends) , and planning surprises for each other's birthdays.

After leaving secondary school, we didn't get to meet each other as often because we've all gone seperate ways to different courses at different colleges. But the usual bunch of us still continued meeting up once in a while, and of course during each other's birthdays. It's actually quite fun when we planned for each other's birthdays and we needed to keep the plans away from the birthday girl/boy. The trickiest part was what kind of surprise should it be because it's not an easy feat to think of different ways to surprise our friends and we don't usually repeat the surprises.

The process of planning was fun, but irritating at times when things did not seem to go on well. Anyway, at the end of it, we somehow managed to iron out the problems and I think most (if not all) the surprises were done quite successfully throughout the year :) Even if they weren't, I believe the birthday boy/girl still felt our sincerity! I love all of you ♥

I spent 352 days out of my 365 days in 2010 doing a project called P365 with Nikki! I believe the term P365 is not new to my fellow blog readers because there have been photos posted up for P365 for almost every single post I posted back in 2010 :)

It's something which took place for the longest duration throughout my 2010, even longer than the total number of days I went to college. hahaha. It was started back in 18 Dec 2009, and ended on 18 Dec 2010. This project partly kept us meeting up with each other after I left school in 2009 and I was thankful that we managed to complete it. ♥

25 September 2010 ♥

It was one of the most memorable days of the year. I finally met Jesseca again after the first time meeting her during a roadshow at Sg. Wang Plaza back in July 2009 :) It's a day i've been waiting for since March 2010 (if I didn't remember wrongly) and I finally took a photo with her! This might be something very common for those who're living in Singapore, but definitely not for me :)

Met her during the first NTV7 Golden Awards and I get to talk to her for a little longer than the first meet. It was good, really really good. I didn't expect her to remember something she actually just mentioned (it was not even a promise) to me about half a year before the day I met her. I really appreciated that very very much because it was so thoughtful of her! And also partly thanks to a mysterious person who doesn't wished to be named for this to have taken place. Thank you so much! Probably it was just something very normal to you, but I appreciated your help a lot :)

Plus, I got to meet a few friends I haven't met before who came all the way from Singapore just for the event. It was great to meet them for the first time after knowing them for quite some time :D

hmmm this was taken on the day we got our SPM results. It was a rather..thrilling day I would say. It was the last time I stepped into a government school to get my exam results. It was finally over...

...and college started soon after. I actually registered back in March, but officially enrolled in July. It's a new environment to study and I get to know new people, lots of them in fact. My classmates from JUS1 are awesome people. hahaha there're so many different types of people in the class - the blur, the funny, the serious, the hardworking, the responsible, the outspoken, and no doubt, the smart ones. And because I take Economics as well, I got know the people from the arts class too because those in my class who're taking Economics had to join their class during econs lessons. They're another bunch of great people :D

The classmates I have in college now painted more colours in my life, making it more colourful as time passes by. It's great getting to know them and i'll be studying with them for another year until the whole A-levels course ends :)

2010 kicked off with a great start and awesome happenings lined up right after. It didn't end very well, and my new year's eve was bad. Anyhow, I still believe that 2011 will be a better year and I hope whatever happened on new year's eve will only become better and better as time passes by :D

Everything above practically summed up my 2010. For whatever that took place but was not mentioned over here, be it something happy or something sad, it's all over. Time probably took over the happiness/sadness because I couldn't recall enough to type it out here. Whatever it is, I hope and I believe that 2011 would be a better year. I know that we can't foresee the future, but I feel that we could do our part to make our lives as happy and as colourful as we want it to be ;)

It's finally 2011 and we've moved on to a new decade! Not sure if anyone realised, those of us who were born from 1992-1999 actually get to experience life in two different centuries and three decades before reaching 20 years old. Nah, it's nothing special but just a random thought I had in mind. Anyway, i'm still in the midst of typing another blog entry on a recap of my 2010. Wait till I gather my thoughts completely to present it properly before posting it up :D

Okay back to the title of my blog entry. I'm actually here to...promote/recommend a film titled Lost and Found 《小孩·狗》 (no, it's not an advertorial or whatsoever ahaha). This is a (chinese) film starring my dearest idol, Jesseca and 2 Taiwanese actors - Xiao Xiao Bin and James Wen Sheng Hao.

The story revolves around a man, a lady, a kid and a puppy. As for what is it really about and whether it's interesting or not, watch it yourself and have your say :) To me, it was a nice film and certain parts of the film were touching enough to make me tear. Those who know me well would know that it isn't easy to make me cry (except when i see something i'm afraid of, and no doubt, farewells).

Watching this film will occupy 1.5 hours of your life with some heartwarming, sweet and sad scenes. haha if any of you prefer to watch this in full screen than the embedded one below, please proceed to this link . Hello everyone! I'm back :D in fact, I was back 2 days ago but took some time to filter and sort out the photos captured. Here's a short recap of my whole trip to HK, Shenzhen and Macau :)

We went there by tour and we took Air Asia for the first time. It wasn't a very bad experience but I actually expected better seats lol. The departure time was 6am if I didn't remember wrongly so we woke up at 2am (yes, I was forced to sleep!) and left home at about 3am.

At the Hong Kong International Airport. The journey to HK took around 3 and a half hours and I was quite tired by then coz the seat on the plane wasn't very comfortable and I couldn't find for the seat incline so I kind of slept quite uncomfortably in the plane.

What was your first thought when you saw that green thing in the picture on the left? Enlarge the picture for the correct answer. One unique thing in HK is that they serve this corn soup with egg (the one on the right) for almost every meal we had there except the dim sum meal for breakfast. I've no idea why either. hahah

We took a cab to visit my grand aunt at her place. The last time my dad and mum met her was more than 20 years back, and it's obvious that sis and I haven't met her before then. haha I really love the environment over there. They have clean and big gardens over there and the houses are nice!

There were uncountable Disney merchandises sold over there !

Disneyland at night :) We took a cab to a shopping mall after we explored the whole Disneyland since the whole tour will be there for the whole day till Disneyland closes. Went out for a few hours and took a cab back to Disneyland to catch the fireworks.

Toured around the popular spots at HK the next day.

People are actually hired to clean the public seats in HK! How awesome is that? I haven't seen this in Malaysia before :P

Took the sampan over there for a short tour and saw the Jumbo floating restaurant. We were told that the word 'sampan' wasn't originally a Malay word! hahaha it was first mentioned by those in HK as 'sam pan' in cantonese. Then later on it was adapted to be used in Malay lol. That's something new to me. haha

Took a train from HK to Shenzhen. Had a terrible experience after we arrived at Shenzhen! After passing the custom over there, we had to go down a pedestrian bridge to get into the bus. People who're close enough to me will know that i'm afraid to walk on pedestrian bridge, and it's even worse when I needed to carry my approx. 12kg luggage bag along with me. I asked myself before going down whether if I can really make it. Thankfully I did (safely!).

Walked around Tung Mun, a very famous shopping spot at Shenzhen at night and we bought drinks! We didn't really know what to order because the menu was in chinese and nothing in english at all! So we just randomly ordered some drinks for ourselves hahaha

Dad's cousins came over to visit us when we were at Shenzhen too. We went back to the hotel pretty late so they actually waited for us at the hotel lobby for about an hour. One of them came all the way from Guangzhou and the rest are from Shenzhen :)

Smoking is like one of the main hobbies of the people over there. They just wouldn't get enough of smoking and my nose felt really really horrible.

Visited the Windows Of The World. This was one of the places we stopped by to take photographs :)

One of the segments of the 'Dancing With The Dragon and Phoenix' show at the cultural village or something. That show was awesome! It's a must-watch show when you go to Shenzhen :D

Took a ferry to Macau the following afternoon. We took a shuttle bus from the hotel we dined in to the harbour, and then another shuttle bus to Wynn Macau. It's a hotel-complex I think. We went there to watch a few small shows. The picture on the right was taken during the water fountain show which lasted for about 5 minutes.

The Venetian. This was our last stop before heading to the airport. The place is beautiful! And the casino over there is huge - the second nicest casino in the world, placed behind Las Vegas'.

The picture says it all! #365

Exactly one year ago, we started this Project 365 after we came back from Genting Highlands together. This cute project (as claimed by Nikki =p) was started really randomly and we kept this going on until now, the very last day before it ends. We've achieved our goal and we'll seal this project together as a memory. This project is actually one thing that kept us meeting up quite often although we don't see each other in school anymore. But of course, it doesn't mean that we'll not meet each other as often anymore just because this project had come to an end ;)

You'll still be seeing our faces on each other's blog or facebook because we'll never have enough of shopping, talking, baking, laughing, laming and everything together. Oh and we have this strange but awesome telepathy and up till now, we still don't know how did that happen. Probably this is what happens when you've someone who could be your BFF, darling, sister and valentine at the same time ♥

Nothing beats the greatness of freedom, especially after a long marathon of homework, assignments, presentations, quizzes, tests and exams. I know these things will continue to come ceaselessly until we graduate so i shall say that this is a just short break for us to feel that education (A-Levels in particular) isn't that inhumane afterall.

As of now, we've got about a month more to enjoy ourselves and not face our books everyday like how we did for the past 6 months. So I got to start keeping myself occupied with whatever I've been wanting to do and do everything I could before that one month ends.

I finally went out for shopping again after such a long time. I haven't been to pyramid for a proper shopping session since I don't know how long ago, and I finally went with my sister yesterday. We had Japanese food coz I've been craving for that for a long long time!

Anyway, sis treated me for dessert at Tony Roma's yesterday! It was a deal between the both of us :P

I spent almost the whole day at Inti today, working as a student helper during the open day just to kill off 7 hours from the total number of hours i'm supposed to work to 'repay' my scholarship. Walked around and stood for a few hours, and then sat down and chatted for the remaining hours. It wasn't too bad coz Megan was there so at least I had somebody to talk to :D

That was how I spent my first 2 days of holiday. More updates to come soon :D

Anyway, here's a song I've been listening to since quite sometime ago but I started to love it very much again recently. There's a difference in the title of this song and the one I have (that was titled Dreams) , but they're the same song. Try listening to it, you might fall in love with it too :)

I've decided to spend some time blogging amidst the stressful week we're all going through. Semester exam is coming soon, really really soon - less than a week from now. But seriously, I haven't had the proper mood to study. It just doesn't feel right, and I don't really feel that i'm revising. Oh well, I don't know which part in me went wrong, but I just don't feel the same as how I felt last time when I revised for my secondary school exams. I'm praying and trying hard to get over the exams smoothly. Just 3 days, 12 papers, and i'll be done with this semester.

Putting the exams thingy aside, everything else was good. My life was as normal as one could ever imagine, the typical life of an A-levels student. I seriously miss that 7 months long holiday I had after SPM ended. It was so much of...not to say fun, but I had a very very relaxing life back then. Some may find that I wasted 7 months, but I definitely don't feel the same. It was really good to take a long break.

I've been missing out lots of photos for P365 too ! We've came so far and it's going to end very soon. We shall see what will we be doing for the last batch of photos before this project ends :D

I've not been up to anything much lately, besides the tests in college and attending classes. Faced the same people and did the same thing every weekday. But I did something different last Friday though! Went to Inti Nilai for the Address By President Bill Clinton. The security was pretty tight I would say. And there were quite a lot of people there too.

It's Halloween today! Have fun splatting layers of make-up on your faces to scare people around you :D

Anyway, there was a Halloween Night event held in my college a few days back, jointly organised by the Pre-U and AUP clubs. It was fun ! Most of my classmates were involved in organising this event and quite a few of us were there to help out too. There were a few performances and among all, I love the performance by the drama club the most! I recorded the video of that drama but it's gonna take quite a while for me to convert all the video clips and combine them. Gimme some time and the link shall be up in a while (probably few days or so..) :)

I had my third 'hand' with me throughout the night but I think not many people were disgusted by my pretty hand. hahaha meet my third hand in the picture below :DD

Quite bloody, isn't it? I think it complements my pinkish-red fingernails and my red handphone ! hahaha

It has been quite a while since my last update. I haven't been very busy, nor very free either. Life's okay, with some ups and downs in between. haha I think the way I type made me sound like I haven't been updating for months or so.

I'm still having the same routine everyday, spending my time doing the same thing again and again. Homework, quizzes, tests - the 3 main things i've been engaged with for the past weeks. But life is still fun! :P

Anyway, we went to Sonya's house last night to give her a mini surprise for her birthday! We did exactly the same thing last year, where the all of us hid in her house's kitchen and waited for her to go to the kitchen (of course with her parents' help =p ) . The only difference is that we did it at night this time round :)

Golden Awards !

I know this is a long-overdue post but it's a must-post thing! I shall type a proper introduction for this blog post. hahaha

I went for the Golden Awards ceremony on 25th of September and it was held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). The main reason I attended that event was to meet Jesseca. I was looking forward to this event since...months back when I got to know about it! Looked forward to it even more when I got to know that Jess was nominated under the Best Actress category. And I was telling myself that I must be able to get the tickets after Jess confirmed her attendance for this award ceremony. Lots of thanks to Tasha for helping me to get the tickets :D

And so, I got to meet Jesseca again! It was my second time meeting her, after the first which was during her drama's roadshow at KL last year :)

Before I continue typing anything else, here's the first and only picture I took with her thus far :D

I met up with a few others who came all the way from Singapore, JB and one from KL. We went for the red carpet ceremony to cheer for Jess and we were kinda late, but thankfully she appeared after we reached :). Proceeded to the Plenary Hall after that and looked for the best seats we can choose according to the tickets we have. We sat not too far from the stage, but it took us quite some time to spot Jesseca from our seats!

We were the first to start chanting Jesseca's name and also a few other slogans during the advertisement breaks, and everyone else from other fan clubs followed suit after that. I think she got so immuned to it that there wasn't much reactions from her after that. And then one of us thought of shouting "Jesseca, do you love us?" in Chinese, and so we did! hahaha the picture below was her expression when we shouted that :P

oh and one day after the award ceremony, she replied us on facebook and said that she loves us too. It's really nice that she remembered what we shouted and took the initiative to reply us :)

Although she didn't win any official awards on that night but she's always the winner in our hearts :). We went down to her seat to meet her after the event ended (which was after the hosts announced the "thank you for watching" etc. thing coz there was live broadcast on NTV7) and we managed to talk to her for a while, took photos with her and got her to sign on the magazines we brought.

All I can say is that I have the most thoughtful and sweetest idol! She really made my day and that was one of my best birthday gifts ever :)

That's about it, I reached home at about 1am, bathed, and slept with a smile lit on my face :)

Like i've mentioned previously, I'd never failed to celebrate my birthday in my hometown before and so I celebrated my birthday there with my family and relatives on last Sunday. We had the celebration during lunch instead of the usual Saturday dinner :D

Okay and this is by far the best ice kacang i've ever had in my 18 years of life before! No other ice kacang (at least to me) could defeat this :D. You guys must try this if you happen to be at Seremban for anything ;)

The day came, and had passed. I'm officially 18 years old now :)

Had a few birthday celebrations with my dear friends and classmates. And the first ever birthday celebration this year was with my usual bunch of lovely friends ! I don't think there's a need to mention who they are, coz they're the familiar faces on my blog :D

Okay so I had my first birthday celebration on the 26th of September, which was a Sunday. We were supposed to meet up at Court 8's bbq pit for a potluck gathering cum lantern festival celebration, but it turned out to be a birthday surprise for me at the end of the day.

They were smart enough to think of a prank which I could totally fall into, without doubting. Okay we can put it this way, it was a prank in a way, and could also be considered as a surprise in another way. Anyhow, I trusted their 'drama' too much that I actually cried upon learning the truth. What did they do? They actually made me witness Nikki and Eric quarrel (for a very very long time!!) and they expected me to scold Eric on Nikki's behalf. But that didn't happen coz of some reasons. hahaha. But I literally trusted the quarreling part. They actually had scripts and rehearsed for the prank. They succeeded and I cried. It was a mixture of tears of joy and shock and the same time.

I didn't even get to take a picture of the birthday cake they bought for me coz I was crying so badly, that I couldn't stop my tears from rolling off my cheeks. And I'll never forget what they did! Eric Lee and Nikki Yeo, you both better not quarrel in real life okay. Or even if you both are really quarreling, I don't think I'd believe it anymore! hahahha

The birthday card/board they did for me! I heard that it took them an hour or so to form the words using candle wax. Thank you so much :)

That was about the surprise birthday party, and next, it's the birthday celebration with them. We went to Station One (Taipan) on the 28th for dinner. It was quite a short one, coz a few of them needed to go home early as they were having tests, trials etc. And we weren't supposed to go to Station One. But just that those few restaurants we thought of going to were closed on that day :(

So yeah, we ended up at Station One. I celebrated my birthday there with them last year too :D

Next, it's a birthday surprise from my dear classmates on my birthday. It was very nice and thoughtful of them to do such a thing for someone they knew about...3 months ago? And they actually walked under the heavy rain just to get a cake for me. Oh and I don't think I've told any of them before that I love strawberries, but they coincidentally bought a strawberry cake for me! Thank you! :)

Here's finally an update after almost 2 weeks ! I've been really really busy. Busy engaging in some serious stuffs, busy slacking (so contradicting huh?!) , busy eating, busy doing homework, and everything else, except studying, which I was supposed to be doing to utilise my one-week holiday.

But whatever, since I couldn't undo what was already done, I shall try to be more hardworking for the coming week since i'm gonna be sitting for my first Economics test next week! Keeping my fingers crossed for the paper not to be too difficult since it's my first attempt for that.

Anyway, we celebrated Ee Leen's birthday last weekend and we planned a small surprise for her too. It was fine, although she sort of expected it already. haha and it's nice to be able to meet that bunch of crazy people again, cracking some unexpected jokes and we really enjoyed each others' company :)

And lastly, not forgetting about the long overdue pictures for P365. These are the newly-taken photos! :D

It's Malaysia's 53rd birthday today! Oh how fast time had passed. I still remember the times we got so crazy during the Merdeka celebrations in school and sang the Merdeka songs together. It was just so fun, whether it was with my classmates or the group of prefects from different classes :D

This year's Merdeka has been pretty quiet (at least for me). In fact, I don't think i've heard of any fireworks yesterday and today. hahah and I personally don't have a habit of watching the National Parade thing on tv so I practically spent the day sleeping and slacking at home. I actually haven't stepped out of home since I returned from college yesterday but it feels good to be at home, doing literally nothing but resting all I want :)

It's a day off for the Selangor's students and workers today! I didn't spend the day resting at home, and I went out for a movie with Cynthia, Ee Leen, Wilson and Andrew instead. We met up with Kar Chun after that too. We watched Step Up 3. I haven't watched Step Up 1 & 2 before so I couldn't compare them, but overall, the movie was fine. To me, the ending was probably the nicest part of the movie. It made the time spent there worthwhile :)

It's great to meet my dear friends again after some time! And it feels so good to be released from the college stress. Life in college isn't exactly stressful, but I still need some time to adapt to it. We're loaded with tonnes of tests, assignments, presentations and homework. Those few things could just keep us occupied all the time and they never seem to be done completely :( . Other than that, college is great with awesome classmates who'll never fail to make each other laugh.

On a sidenote, I really have no idea why the girls in my class (including myself) tend to get a bit 'high' in the Physics Lab! It always happen, but we're not sure of the cause! There's sure something for us to laugh about every time when we're in the Physics Lab and our laughter just overpower everything else in the lab! But of course, that's after we're done with out experiments ;)

Genting Highlands!

Hello people! My blog's layout is finally back to normal after I tried hosting the photos(used for the layout) myself.

Anyway, I went to Genting Highlands yesterday and came back today. It was just a very short trip for us to get out of the higher temperature on the low land over here, but in the end, the temperature is almost the same at Genting as well. The coldest it went to was..22 degrees I think. Just imagine, we didn't even need to put on our jackets/cardigans throughout the 2 days there. It's just not cold up there!

There's nothing much for us at Genting coz it's more like a place for adults who're there for the casino. Plus, we don't usually go for the outdoor rides coz i'm afraid of height ( i'm still trying hard to overcome the fear!) and Fraveen didn't come along with us coz he went for a school trip so we didn't have anyone to bully :P. In the end, we did stupid things to entertain ourselves instead :D

I'm currently on medication again, after less than a month since my previous course ended. This is so annoying. Am I having so much fate with medicines and doctors that I need to see them every month (up till now) ? I don't hope so. This 'trend' better stop or i'll end up having a stomach filled with tablets.

Anyway, college's been fine. But there're tonnes of quizzes, tests and presentations lined up for us. So yeah, i'll be pretty busy for this whole month, until holiday (for Hari Raya) begins on the 6th of September. But there will still be updates over here occasionally whenever i've something to update :)

Anyway, other than that, I finally watched Inception with my classmates last week! Whether or not I find the movie interesting, I dozed off in the cinema. HAHA. The movie was alright, it wasn't boring, but it doesn't de-stress. And it made me think more than I usually would when I watch a movie. So, in other words, it's not a type of movie I would love to watch again.

Okay talking about movies, I realised that I'd missed so many movies! I've no idea why, probably it was because nobody wanted to accompany me to watch, or I was simply unaware of the movies' releases! hahaha

It's the beginning of a new month again!

While I was browsing through the folders in my computer to look for pictures for P365 just now, I chanced upon those pictures taken back in school and I suddenly miss school again. It has been about 8 months since I left school but looking at those pictures just remind me so much of our fun times during the schooling days. I miss the lamest people in my class who will just make everyone of us laugh till we cry, the fan (yes, the one right above Leanne's seat!), the courage in us to make fun of a few teachers who taught us, and practically everything we did in and out of the classroom.

College has been alright so far, and i'm blessed with very friendly classmates. A few of us were in fact the odd ones when we first entered the class. What I meant by 'odd ones' was that we were the newbies in the class while most of them already knew each other back in May when they enrolled earlier for Malaysian Studies. But it was really nice of them to take the initiative to get to know us first, rather than us making the first move.

I have pretty interesting and noisy classmates and being in the same class as them just reminds me of my secondary schoolmates! Even our lecturers told us that we're dynamic and that made the class interesting. HAHA. But apparently, the other science classes are more of the studious kind so the lecturers kinda afraid that we might be lacking in that sense.

I miss the times when we needed to stay back in school for Photography Club meeting! It was funnn :))

at U8's carnival!

Went to Old Town after the carnival. And Nikki fetched a few of us there!!

Quite a number of us turned up at SMK USJ 8's carnival last saturday! Most of the ex-students who turned up were from my batch though. It was great to meet so many of them again :D. I spent most of the time there with Leanne and Nikki. Then a super big bunch of us went to Taipan's Old Town for lunch! I think there were about more than 15 of us there and we occupied 3 tables. hahaha

Other than that, i've been pretty busy with college. I spend averagely about 9 hours in college daily, but of course not attending class all the time. I've quite long breaks in between for certain days :).

Okay let me introduce my classmates to all of you! hahhaa not the individual introduction kind of thing, but just an overview of most of us in the class :D. Our physics lecturer is currently on leave so we had our lab class today without him around. While waiting for the lab attendant to prepare the apparatus needed for us to do the experiment, we went in to another classroom opposite the lab for fun. Or rather, for the air-cond, coz the corridors are not air-conditioned.

All the guys in the class. There's a stark contrast between the number of guys and girls in my class!

Only 6 girls in my class take Physics (including myself) ! There're another 4 girls who didn't take Physics and that makes up to 10 girls in my class, in contrast with 20 guys in the class. Okay anyway, none of us were looking into the camera in this picture because Calvin captured the
photo before he reached the third count. haha so it's all thanks to him! It's not our fault =p

Hello peopleee! Sorry for the lack of updates. I was pretty busy lately, not with college, but busy falling sick instead. I've been unwell for the whole week last week. I was down with headache, body aches, fever and cough. I guess that's what it takes to adapt to a new routine. I've been to the clinic 4 times in a month and that's so not fun! Just imagine having need to eat medicine as your after-meal dessert for every single meal for a whole week. That's so gross. I had it for about 2 weeks in a month's time. And each time, I had to take about 10 tablets and that makes up to 300+ tablets in total !

Okay, but whatever, i'm fine now and thankfully I did not miss out too much (in studies) after skipping college for 2 and a half days. The half day was because I went to college in the morning but couldn't bear with my condition half way through the day so I went home earlier.

Anyway, today is the 13th day since I last updated my blog and apparently, i'm supposed to post 13 new pictures for P365. Unfortunately, I don't have as many pictures to post as of now, so here're just a few pictures I can post right now. I'm yet to post up the photos taken using my camera as my laptop's memory card reader died on me (as mentioned previously) and I haven't bought an external card reader yet.

Okay back to my blog entry's title! hahaha I didn't specifically do anything today that made it the headline on my blog (for the day) , but it's a special day to me for some reasons. And happy things just tend to happen today too! That made my day even happier and made me a little more hyped up today. hahhaa don't ask why, I'm just sharing my joy in an indirect way :D. Just feel happy for me and i'll be happy for that ! ♥

Hi everyone! I finally don't feel lazy to update my blog. hahaha. I actually wanted to update it 2 days ago, but not after realising that my laptop's card reader isn't working anymore. It was so frustrating as I wanted to upload the pictures I took with my friends. Okay so whatever, I still don't have the pictures in my computer now :(. I desperately need an external card reader!

Anyway, college officially started yesterday. Nothing much about it coz we haven't started studying, except for those who took Biology. I'll be having a long long day at college tomorrow with a dreadfully long break - 4 hours long. I've no books right now and I guess i'll most likely spend most of the time during the break in front of the computer hahaha. That's about it. More updates when the time comes :)

The title says it all. I'm currently going through the last day of my long holidays (to me, weekends are not considered as holidays). Orientation for college starts tomorrow and that marks the beginning of something new for me - the college life. I'm feeling neutral about it, neither too excited nor anxious.

I remember when I was way younger, I used to think about things like.."Can I go to work without studying BUT have all the knowledge needed to do my job?" or "Can I don't study or work but do anything else I want to (like..playing throughout my whole life?) ". hahaha yes, those are the naive and stupid thinking of a small little girl. But I do believe that i'm not the only one who thought of that! hahaha be honest to yourself okay :P

So yeah, coming back to college. I told myself and my sis that i'm going to slack for the whole day today since it's my very last day lazing at home for the whole day during a weekday before college starts. And yes, I really did that. It felt so surreal that I'd actually been through 7 months of holidays. I really didn't feel that it was THAT long afterall, although it sounds pretty long. But i'm satisfied with the long rest I had and i'm trying quite hard to get myself prepared for college, though I don't really think that i'm succeeding in doing that (HAHAHA!). I just remembered that I haven't even bought the textbooks needed. That reflects how 'prepared' am I for the new...phase of my education.

Anyway, orientation starts tomorrow and i'm still going to meet quite a few friends (from U8) there I suppose? More updates after that :)

I've been pretty busy for the past few days coz my time was occupied with different things to be done everyday.

Putting the rest of the days aside, I went for a (sort of) movie marathon on Saturday. haha. Went to the salon to trim my hair in the morning after breakfast and headed to Summit's cinema with sis after that. We watched The Karate Kid. That movie was quite nice, but I slept for a very short while (about 10 mins?) in the middle of the show coz I was really really sleepy. I had barely 6 hours of sleep the night before! And that makes me wonder how am I gonna stay awake for classes when college starts! hahaha I shall worry about that when the time comes =p

Later at night (around 9 plus) , Sis, Dee, Fraveen and I watched Toy Story 3 in 3D. I personally didn't like watching the movie in 3D coz it doesn't feel good, and doesn't look good either. But I gotta say that the movie was quite sad!!! Not as a whole, but merely the ending. As the owners of about..30 toys each, my sis and I were in tears while watching the ending of the movie. It kept me thinking how would it be if there's one day that I got to bid goodbye to my toys coz all of them have been sleeping by my side for years and I love them very very much!

Okay so to all friends of mine who're reading this, please do not buy me toys as any form of gifts in future. haha more toys = extra sadness (in future) . Okay whatever, the more I type, the more i'll start thinking. So i'll stop typing about Toy Story! haha.

By the way, I created a new email address today and it's currently my active email address for facebook and twitter. I've sent out requests to add friends on msn using that email add but I think most of you haven't received the notification yet? I've no idea why is this happening coz I sent the requests all at once to everyone in my previous msn list. So to those of you who didn't receive the request, then just add my new email address. It's stated on my previous msn's nick. thank you!! But for the time being, i'll continue using the old email address on msn until most of the people approve my request :)

Haven't been posting pictures for P365 for the past few days coz I was busy sorting the pics taken at Penang and spent my morning and evening outside yesterday. So here're the pictures! :D

yes, it's clear that this picture was cropped. haha

I've no idea if i'll ever dare to try wearing full-frame specs! Still don't have the courage to change my specs yet. hehe

As mentioned above, I spent my morning and evening outside yesterday. It was in fact quite a last minute decision to go out. Cynthia came over to fetch me in the morning and we headed to IOI Mall. I couldn't recall when was the last time I went there, maybe...about 6 years back? haha. We bought quite a few things there but it took us slightly more than an hour to finish walking around the whole mall.

Then Cynthia suddenly thought of asking other friends out for a drink. So we called Sonya and then texted Leanne and Ee Leen to ask them out too. Pei Wen was working so she didn't join us. We met up at Taipan's Pappa Rich and spent more than 2 hours there talking about almost anything. But oh well, girls are the best when it comes to gossiping. So no doubt, we did that too. haha!

A short trip to Penang

hello everyone! I reached home yesterday but took quite some time to sort and edit the photos I took in Penang during my trip there for the past few days.

Just keep reading and i'll guide you through whatever we've done in Penang :)

A total of 5 of us went for this trip together and my uncle drove us there. Uncle and 2 aunties departed from Seremban and they came over to pick sis and I up, then we headed to Penang. In the picture above, we're already on the Penang Bridge as you can see.

Sis, aunt and I. It took us about 5 hours to reach Penang, but we stopped in between for toilet breaks and had our early lunch at Bidor (Perak).

We reached Penang at around 3pm and started locating the hotel. It took us a while to look for it. Once reached, we were greeted by the friendly hotel staffs and headed to the lobby. We stayed at E&O Hotel and it was our first time there. Once in the lobby, we got ourselves seated on the sofa and the hotel staff actually came to us to check in for us, rather than needing us to go to the counter to check-in. And while waiting for them to bring the receipt for my uncle to sign, we were given cold towels and cocktail drinks. Great service :D

Pardon me for my poor editing coz I was too lazy to re-edit after stuffing too many pictures into one. Every picture represents one part of the bathroom, and yes, this means that there're 2 basins in the washroom - ‘His’ and ‘Her’ hand-basins. There is a small difference between the 2 basins if you're observant enough to spot it from the picture.

Oh and not to forget, a hotel staff was also assigned to lead us to our room and gave us a brief explanation about the things in the room. We headed out to Tanjung Bungah after the bellhop carried our luggages to our room. We went to one of the beaches there for a while and walked to the Lone Pine Hotel [also under the E&O Group] which my uncle and aunt stayed at during their last visit to Penang. Initially, we wanted to book that hotel too coz it was by the beach but unfortunately, it was under renovation so we had to stay at E&O Hotel, which is located at the town area.

We dined in this restaurant called "End Of The World Seafood Restaurant" for early dinner as we had our lunch very early. haha what a weird name it has! But the food was just fine, not very good =/

Then we went back to the hotel again to bathe and get changed. Later on, we walked to a restaurant, not too far away from the hotel, for early supper at around 9 something if I didn't remember wrongly. haha we had early lunch, dinner and supper on the same day. lol.

okay, it's called Red Garden Food Paradise & Night Market.

That's about the first day! And now, proceeding to Day 2...

Sarkies Corner, a colonial coffee shop in the hotel. We sat outside and we had our breakfast facing the sea. I just love the ambience there :)

They offer a wide variety of food, ranging from western to asian food with high quality ingredients. There're different types of typical Malaysian breakfast like nasi lemak, curry, porridge, dim sum etc. at another corner too but I wasn't interested in that. hahaha.

So as you can see in the pictures, there're cereal counter, japanese counter, cheese platter, pastries and different types of fruits. I love it that there's an abundance of strawberries served! I couldn't remember how many I ate! hahaha. Anyway, what you see in the photos are just part of the food there as the chefs can actually cook [selected food like waffles, pancakes, roti canai, char kuey teow, omelette (my love!!!!!) , soup noodles, etc.] for you on the spot upon request.

Valet parking was complimentary for the hotel's guests.

We left the hotel to walk around, and our main transportation for the day was our legs, despite having a car there. My uncle and aunt prefer walking around rather than driving and because we were fine with it too, so we walked around instead of driving.

At Ford Cornwallis - The place where Francis Light and some government people from Kedah signed their agreement or something like that? haha my knowledge on History had rusted =x.

History. haha there're many other boards (is it called boards? hahah i've no idea) as such over there but these are the 6 main ones. I was too lazy to read the story again as I read it before in History last time. So no more History please. hahaha

A friendly passer-by thought we were interested in antiques when we stopped by a shop coz my uncle was attracted to the design of the door and took a picture of it. That guy recommended us to head to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion for a visit, and we did.

We stopped by at a restaurant nearby for its famous Penang Laksa (or more commonly known as Asam Laksa over here). It was quite good! I like the chendol there. haha

Walked back to the hotel to rest for a little while. I think we walked a total of about 7-10 km to and fro the places. We were literally tired but it was quite a good exercise!

Drove around to buy some Penang snacks.

We walked out from the hotel for dinner but we didn't find any nice restaurants nearby. So we walked back to the hotel and uncle drove us to Macalister Road and we settled down at a hawker centre with lots of food. But I don't think we took any pictures there coz it was too dark.

So here comes Day 3, and we headed to Sarkies Corner again for breakfast. We actually had free breakfast for all 5 of us for both mornings due to some reasons, together with a special accomodation rate. hahaha or else, it would've been quite costly for us to stay there.

We left the place close to 12pm and headed home. That's about it, a very fruitful trip with great experiences inside and outside the hotel :). I love the hotel and I think we'll be back there again the next time we visit Penang! hahaha it's just very distinctive compared to any other hotels out there.

Okay, and finally i'm going for holidays tomorrow! It's one of the very few holidays I had during my 7 months break, which the other 2 were the trip to Genting and another trip to Malacca, both in last December. Gonna depart to Penang tomorrow morning. Was supposed to go there last year end but didn't manage to make it although the hotel rooms were already booked by then. Last minute cancellation =/.

Oh but whatever, hahaha i'm going there tomorrow, and to the same hotel we booked last year! Here's another video featuring wilson! hahhaa this is funny (at least to Cynthia and I) ! Okay let me explain a little bit before you start watching the video.

It was recorded during one of those days after we had an English lesson with Pn. Bachan and she happen to revise about a short story, The Lotus Eater. I'm not sure if all of you know or still remember the story, but just in case if you don't, read the synopsis here.

So yeah, Wilson (in the story) tried to commit suicide but he didn't succeed. Cynthia and I couldn't really remember what happened that made me record this video but maybe Wilson(the real Wilson we know) remembers lol. According to Cynthia, it was because Wilson (the real one) turned behind [I sat behind him in the class last time] and teased me after the English lesson for I don't know why and I, in turn, said "nobody is gonna be sad for you if you kill yourself". Something like that. Okay that's all i'm gonna explain. Watch the video to see how 'sad' Wilson is! hahaha

Another weekend is ending and i'm just 3 weeks away from the next stage of my life - college. Now that i'm 3 weeks away from that, I really do feel that time is pacing up. I had already been through slightly more 6 months of holidays. I know that sounds really long but it didn't feel that long actually. Somehow i'm glad I feel so, or else i'd be complaining that i'm bored everyday. haha.

But this weekend hasn't been great afterall. Experienced a very terrible gastric pain that made me sleep more than 12 hours for 2 nights consecutively. Will probably have a very long sleep again tonight :)

a day with two missions

Starting off with pictures for yesterday and today :)

Both the pictures were taken in the washroom before we headed to the cinema for Letters to Juliet :)

Nikki and I accomplished 2 missions today - baked the chinese cookies [it's called Hup Toh Soh in cantonese] and watched The Time Traveler's Wife.

I went over to Nikki's house in the morning and watched tv with her for a while before we headed to the kitchen. It was then that we realised neither of us had baking powder. So, we walked to the shops nearby to check if they sell baking powder. Unfortunately, none of the shops sell it so Nikki woke Eugene up to fetch us out to get it.

Nikki copied the recipe from a website onto a piece of paper so we wouldn't need to refer from the computer repeatedly (like what we did when we baked fruit tarts previously).

Here're the ingredients we used, except the ammonia (which was still in the fridge), cooking oil and eggs.

the few steps done to bake the cookies :

1. Sift the flour, castor sugar and other ingredients.
2. Pound the walnuts.
3. Mix the sifted ingredients with the pounded walnuts and cooking oil.
4. Knead the dough. (this didn't really work for us coz the dough wasn't very well-formed)
5. Shape the dough and put them into the oven.
6. The cookies! hahaha it's not very difficult to bake them, but not too simple at the same time. Anyway, the cookies tasted very much nicer than it looks! haha

1. Nikki sifting the flour. I did that too okay. Just that there's no picture for evidence lol.
2. Me, pounding the walnuts. Don't ask me why was I sitting so awkwardly coz I didn't know that it looked like that until I saw the picture. But I felt comfortable sitting like that at that moment hahaa.
3. Nikki kneading the dough! I didn't help in that because my fingernails were quite long. And if I were to do it, I think the dough will be stuck in my nails hahaha. Sounds pretty disgusting huh?
4. Pre-heating the oven.

We watched this after lunch! We finally watched it after so long of wanting to do so. The movie was okay, not too sad to the extent that I'd tear. hahaha it's not that easy (but not that difficult as well) to make me tear! It's overall a nice movie and the story was interesting. haha it's something out of the box :D

Here's a video of Pei Wen, trying to pronounce different words (in cantonese) correctly.

[ note : the other voice besides Pei Wen's doesn't belong to me. i've no idea whose voice was it! hahaha ]

It started off like that. Before recording the video, I think she said the word 'waste paper' [fei ji] in cantonese while we were talking about something but she ended up saying the word 'chopstick' [fai ji] instead. So I corrected her but she still didn't get it very well. Then I happen to think of asking her to say 'useless person' [fei yan] so she could get the pronounciation of the word she wanted to say [fei ji].

But anyway, it was yesterday (when I rewatched this video) that I realised she said something wrong in the video as well but we didn't realise it last time! AND AND another thing is that, she wasn't saying that I am that 'fei yan' okay =p

I have another 2 videos with me. Will post them up soon! Recording videos and taking pictures were how we spent our time (when SPM was approaching) while waiting for our teachers to enter the class. :D

a day out!

My day was very well-spent yesterday. haha unlike any other weekdays, I went out and was away from my beloved laptop from the morning till evening. Went to Pyramid with Nikki. Mom dropped sis at Monash and sent the both of us to Pyramid after that.

AND..we finally watched a movie together after so long of wanting to do that. I think it has been years since we watched a movie together in the cinema. If i'm not mistaken, the last movie we watched together was Ghost Rider. I remember we shared a jacket (i think) and used it to cover our eyes whenever necessary hahaha. Okay anyway, we watched Letters to Juliet yesterday! Nikki told me about it since..she saw the trailer. So we thought of watching it yesterday despite wanting to watch a few other movies as well. Oh and we each got a cup of sweet corn with EXTRA BUTTER before getting into the cinema. hahaha but the one in Genting was still better. More buttery (and more fattening).

Overall, the movie was quite nice and the story got better after..a quarter of the movie shown? It was an interesting love story with humour.

Sis joined us after our movie and we had lunch together..we walked till around 5.30, and Nikki's parents fetched us back after work. It was so fun to laugh and gossip with nikki ykk (HAHA nikki, i just thought of it) again after so long! :D

'holidays'

The mid-term school holiday has begun! Yes, I've been on holidays since..last December, and i still am. But normal school holidays (and college semester holidays) do affect me in a way! Like..my friends would be free to hang out with me. hahaha coz usually when I have holidays, they don't! and so i would eventually end up holiday-ing alone at home.

haha okay anyway, I read something very interesting (at least to me) on Nikki's blog just now! Apparently, there is really something called Project 365 (P365). It didn't exist because Nikki and I started it, but instead, it existed years back. hahahaa and we naively thought of it and started it unknowingly. But we changed the way of carrying out this project though! okay anyway, just in case anyone of you is interested in knowing what the real Project 365 is, visit this link [ http://www.p365.org/ ] or simply google 'Project 365' or 'P365'.

As i've mentioned above, it's nice when my friends have holidays! Cynthia had holidays for a week (if i'm not mistaken) and we went out together with Leanne on Thursday :). Had a great time chatting about..so many things! hahhaha and missing those times in our classroom back in Form 5, at Leanne's seat under the fan! hahaha we loved that place so much! Not because Leanne sits there, but because of the fan LOL.

oh and before i forget about something, let me type it out first. hahaha. I chatted with Nikki yesterday night after so long of not chatting with her online since she was having exams for the past 3 weeks. And then..due to some reasons, nikki came out with an equation.

This was the equation :

BAD + BAD = GOOD

Anyone agree that it's true? hahaha ok keep reading and you might reconsider your answer if you said no just now.

After Nikki typed that equation, then something struck my mind.

BAD = negative ( - )
GOOD = positive ( + )

and from what we learn in Mathematics,

negative ( - ) times negative ( - ) = positive (+)

So...it's still true in a way after modifying it! hahahha we're so lame and we just couldn't stop being lame. It's just us :D

a not-so-friday Friday

It feels like a Saturday today. It isn't the usual Friday whereby I stay at home to repeat my weekday routine, but rather, a very Saturday-ish Friday. haha. It's holidays for everyone today but it wasn't impactful to me at all since I'm on holidays every single day. hahaha.

We woke up pretty late, just like any other Saturdays. Dad brought sis and I out for dim sum breakfast in the morning and it's quite surreal to think that it's Friday today and we're out for breakfast. Mom had some parents-teachers day at her workplace today so she didn't join us for breakfast.

Sis wanted to go to pyramid for shopping to de-stress herself after breakfast and I went with her. Yes, she had fun de-stressing by splurging and I joined her to 'de-stress' too. Don't ask me what am I stressed about coz i've no idea as well. It's just an excuse for me to spend hehehe. We bought many many things and everything we bought were solely for ourselves. It was so...satisfying. My sis could even tell me something like this "I want to spend until there's no money left in my purse". I couldn't recall what I replied to her desire but I think I told her to go ahead. lol.

And we really spent until we had almost no money left in our purses. hahaha it was just so fun to pamper ourselves but not so fun if we were to count how much we actually spent. So i'm not gonna calculate hahahah.

I think we spent about 5 hours there and headed home at around 3pm since sis wanted to get home to study (but in the end, she spent the time sleeping instead). Dad, sis and I slept while waiting for mom to get home and by the time we woke up, it's dinner time already and we went out for dinner. Back home by 9 something just now and i'm literally tired despite taking a nap before dinner.

I just gotta say again that it doesn't feel like a Friday today hahaha. that's about everything I did today..it's time to rest my hands now :D

As i've mentioned in the previous blog entry, I met up with Cynthia, Leanne and Andrew for breakfast and a mission last thursday. and now...the mission is unveiled! hahaha we went there to make a card for Eric for his birthday.

okay this was funny. We came up with a very random idea to put a 'mutated' balloon on the card and so I was drawing lines on the mutated balloon to make it look nicer.

I was occupying the spaces on that paper with the 'happy birthday' greetings. I think Leanne and Andrew wrote most of it as Cynthia and I were busy with the balloons. lol

I've been rotting at home almost everyday since my last update. So there's nothing much about what i've done besides watching tv, online, sleeping and eating. Went out for a short while yesterday to meet up with Cynthia, Leanne and Andrew for breakfast and we (almost) completed a mission together lol. Pictures will be up soon :)

The past few days have been pretty fine and I somewhat managed to keep myself occupied everyday. Of course not all the time, but at least, part of it. I've been watching the Thomas and Uber Cup for the whole week and there were quite a number of teeth-gritting matches. Anyway, fellow Malaysian shuttlers shall practice harder and play better in the next one :). Andddd, I was so happy that Korea won the Uber cup!! hahaha i was too excited to see the Chinese players' and coaches' expressions when they lost! =p

Anyway, we celebrated my sis' birthday in Seremban on Saturday. It was just a normal celebration with lots of food, and they're all very fattening!! haha and my sis refused to take pictures for I don't know why so there're no pictures. oh but she did take a picture with Fraveen and I in the computer room after that. hahaha

My parents, sis and I went out for a meal yesterday, which was sis' exact birthday. We met up with sis at Pyramid as she was there to celebrate with her friends since late morning. And I was officially the only teenager at home from yesterday onwards! haha i just couldn't stop teasing my sister that she's finally 20, and no longer a teen. I think i've been teasing her about it since..the beginning of this year. I'm just thaaaatttt evil!

Then today, Cynthia, Leanne, Pei Wen and I went back to school to visit the teachers and passed them some little gifts for teacher's day. We went to Old Taste for breakfast before we headed to school and we wrote our messages on the small cards there too. We left Old Taste at about 10.10am, and that was 30 minutes later than scheduled! haha initially, we planned to reach school before recess starts but we ended up reaching school when recess ends. hahaha how inefficient could we be. But nevermind, nobody is gonna punish us when we're late! We're now going back to school as 'guests' and we even need to write our names on the book in the guardhouse! hahaha

That's all about today. The visit to school made me feel that time really flies! It has been about half a year since we left school and the current Form 5s are going to sit for their mid-term examinations tomorrow. That reminds me of us last year, studying for exams, stuffing whatever needed into our brains and pour them out during exams. So much of fun and stress at the same time. hahaha but i wont wanna turn back the time. There's no point of doing that anyway. I'm glad that everything is over and i'm moving on to a new phase in my life :D

Anyway, all the best to the form 4s and 5s who're sitting for their exams tomorrow! haha have fun while battling in the 3-weeks long war! :)

Initially, I was actually texting. And then, I realised that she was taking pictures so actually i posed to let her take a picture of us. In fact, i'd already sent the message when she took the picture LOL.

We took this picture because nikki said "I realised that we seldom take horizontal pictures of ourselves" ! hahaha there's another version of this picture taken using her camera too :)

I started feeling really bored (of my extraordinarily long holidays) recently and that actually made me spare some time thinking how I went through the past 5 months, doing almost the same thing everyday without feeling sick of the routine. I did ask myself why didn't I choose to enter college in March (for the March intake) instead of the one in July. Then I remember telling others the reason why I didn't want to start studying so soon when they asked about it. I said I won't want to start doing something (in this case, it's studying) when i'm not fully prepared for it. So yeah, after that, I started telling myself that I can slack for another month or so and I got to be mentally-prepared for college very soon after that. haha sounds quite serious, doesn't it? I'm not looking forward to it, but i'm not dreading it to come by at the same time.

Anyway, I think my English has been deproving quite a bit since I left school as I didn't need to write/type in proper English for the past 5 months. But to think about it, I wouldn't need to take english language as a subject when I go to college so I actually have no idea what can I do to improve it. On second thought, it's a good thing that i'm not going to learn english anymore because I never liked writing essays and never liked my english to be tested coz i'm not good at it.

Haha everything I typed above were just some random thoughts that came across my mind when I started typing..and just to fill up some of my free time by typing. hahaha. Now that New Beginnings (a Singapore chinese drama) has ended, i've no other dramas to catch online everyday and i'll be even more unoccupied. Yet, I haven't really thought of anything else to do. I still got to wait for about 1-2 weeks for my L license to be issued and so there'll be no driving lessons yet. How am I going to go through the upcoming boring days? Any dramas to recommend or any other ideas about other things to be done to fill up my time?
